Workers Solidarity Movement

Any excuse will do for the University College Cork “Societies Guild” in order to suppress the freedom of speech of pro-choice students. First it was that “a society already exists which caters for debate in the area of abortion and choice”. That society being the clearly anti-choice “Prolife” society – who have no interest in debate on the issue.

Mayday each year is a time for workers to celebrate our history and a time to recharge our batteries for the difficult task at hand - overthrowing capitalism and achieving emancipation for our class!

Public meeting in support and solidarity with the Waterford Crystal workers in occupation of their place of work in defiance of the receivers' plans.

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Cork is calling on members, supporters and all friends of Palestine to come out on Saturday next to protest against the Israeli bombing of Gazans. Please bring banners, placards, flags etc.

They came from the four corners of Munster and beyond for yesterday’s INTO organised protest march through Cork city. 

The final numbers taking part were huge and clearly the biggest seen in the city for a long, long time. Schools from Dungarvan, Listowel, Skibbereen, Kenmare, Thurles, Limerick, Tralee were present along with a huge showing from Cork City. Union banners present were from all over and included the TUI and the ASTI.
