Date: Mon 26th Oct,
Time 7.30pm

Cork

Date: Tuesday 27th October.

Time: 8 p.m.

This meeting will present a brief history of southern African anarchism and anarcho-syndicalism and the current situation South African anarchists face.

It will also deal with the current context: the xenophobic pogroms of 2008, the recent election of Jacob Zuma as president and what his administration means for the popular classes, the effects of the global economic crisis on South Africa - the recent wave of strikes, community revolts and more, and activities anarchists are involved in.

Our comrade's presentation will also look at the situations and struggles in Zimbabwe and Swaziland, and relate how events in the southern Africa region connect with other struggles around the world, like here in Ireland.
