It seems that trigger happy Regional Development minister Conor Murphy is at it again with proposals for residents in 5 pilot areas in and around the city centre to pay a flat rate tax of £40 annually regardless of household income for the privilege of parking outside their own home despite firm opposition.

Anarchism is about building a society with maximum freedom and maximum equality. However, to achieve this we must first of all destroy capitalism. How can we achieve this aim and how can we do it sooner rather than later? This is a call out forwarded from the Gipfelsoli Infogruppe, the international media response group set up in the run up to the 2007 G8 in Germany. It follows the continuing detention of Martin Krämer, a German activist involved in the current anti G8 mobilisation. Initially arrested by police in the city of Vanino in the Habarovsk region of the Russian Far East March 3, Martin was turned over the FSB agents, in whose hands he was harshly interrogated and beaten. Martin was accused of carrying "extremist" and "secret" documents. These included archival materials from the 1920s, long since made public, that Kramer had for research purposes. Also included were a copies of the Ukrainian anarchist paper Liva-Sprava and Udar, the paper of Vladivostok's Autonomous Action.

Go Hirasawa mobilizes against the G8-summit in Japan with the group „No G8! Action“. He is lecturer of film studies at the Tokyo University and a media activist. Very recently, he has coordinated the retrospective of the Japanese director Koji Wakamatsu at the international film festival Berlinale.
